What You'll Catch

Inshore and nearshore waters around Navarre hold a year round mix of hard pulling fish. Tap any fish to learn about it.

Your Guide

Meet Captain Chuck

Chuck has been fishing these Emerald Coast waters since he could walk, first alongside his grandfather, then on his own, exploring the Santa Rosa Sound on a johnboat he hauled behind his bicycle on a trailer he built himself.

After high school he chased waves around the globe, surfing and windsurfing in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, and spent 22 years on Maui, where his kids were born and where he cut his teeth tournament fishing for marlin, ahi, wahoo and mahi mahi. "It is a true challenge of wills," he says of fighting a big fish for hours on end.

Now he is home, guiding the waters he grew up on around Navarre, Pensacola and Destin, and treating every charter, local or visiting from across the world, like the honor he believes it is.

Frequently Asked

How do I book a trip? +
Easiest way is to call or text Capt. Chuck at 850.368.4565. You can also email luckychuckychartersfl@gmail.com or message us on social media. Chuck books up quick, so he can pencil you in for a couple of days while you firm up plans.
Is a deposit required, and how do I pay? +
No deposit required. Payment is accepted by cash, Venmo, or personal check.
Does the price cover one person or the whole boat? +
The boat. Up to 6 anglers fish for the same trip price (the base rate covers 1 to 3, then it is just $50 per additional angler). Got more than six? Give us a call and we will make arrangements.
What should I bring? +
Just whatever makes you comfortable on the boat. Pack a snack or lunch and plenty of water, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and polarized sunglasses. Bait, tackle, rods, ice, and your license are all provided. You are welcome to bring your own rods or fly gear if you like, but it is optional.
Do I need a fishing license? +
Nope, you are covered under the charter while you are aboard. (A license is only needed if you fish from the beach or pier.)
Is the boat kid friendly? +
Absolutely, we cater to the next generation of fishing fans! Anglers under 18 need a legal adult guardian aboard, and life jackets are available for children and adults any time on request.
What if the weather looks bad? +
Safety first, we will not fish in dangerous conditions. Chuck will talk through the weather and your options with you as the trip approaches. The final call on cancelling for weather is the captain's.
Wait, no bananas? Really? +
Really. Bananas on a boat are bad luck, one of the oldest superstitions in fishing, and Chuck takes it seriously. Leave the banana bread at home. Granola bars are your friend.
